Kal Wayman is a seasoned mortgage professional with over two decades of experience, beginning his career in 2002. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Kal earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Georgia State University before relocating to Los Angeles in 2012 and settling in Malibu, where he lives with his wife and two sons, ages 12 and 6.

Over the course of his career, Kal has funded more than $1 billion in loans, working with a wide range of clients—from first-time buyers to high-net-worth individuals. He began as an independent broker before moving into private banking, serving as the in-house lender for Bank of America’s Century City Private Bank, a high-net-worth lending platform. Kal currently serves as the in-house lender for Smith & Berg Partners in Brentwood, one of Los Angeles’ top-producing real estate teams, and is licensed to originate loans in 22 states.

Known for his deep market knowledge, creative deal structuring, and ability to navigate complex transactions, Kal brings a personalized, solutions-focused approach to every client.
